Great news today. Whitaker and Crystal went to see Dr. Brumnd (spell?) today who happens to be the greatest pediatrician in the entire world. Today was the 2 month old check up (i know, he's two months old) and he had to get his shots. Crystal said he was awesome while the doctor checked him out, but when he got his shots he cried...BIG TIME!!! Naturally, she cried too.
But here are his stats:
Weight: 13 lbs 2.5 ozs
Length: 24 inches
Size Percentile: 90th (meaning he HUGE!!!)
Overall diagnosis: He's perfect (quote from the doctor)
Isnt it amazing what God can do?
In lew of Whit's Dr.'s visit, I thought of a picture and a scripture...
"How beautiful on the mountains are the feet of the messenger who brings good news,
the good news of peace and salvation, the news that the God of Israel reigns!"
Isaiah 52:7
My kid has huge feet. At first I thought that that would be a bad thing. I thought he would never be able to find shoes his size at stores. I thought that he might be called clown foot when he got to j-high. I basically thought, "Oh no, he's going to have to deal with the stuff that I had to deal with b/c of huge feet." And then I thought thats probably true, but thank God those big feet are going to be blesed. Thank God that his feet will carry the good news of salvation and peace. Thank God that those big ole feet will be seen as beautiful by his savior. Thank God for his feet.
So, the question is, what do your feet look like?

Hey - that percentile thing doesn't mean anything. Mic was in the 90th and 100th percentile for a while and look at her.... hmmmm! And yes, the doctor is right: He is perfect!!!
